F.I.U.Wall (2007)

In 1972 Joseph Beuys founded the Free International University (F.I.U.). 35 Years later members of the F.I.U. Amsterdam decided to build a commemorative wall at the F.I.U. Summer School in Normandy, France. It was an interdisciplinairy project, consisting of stones, music and this movie.

Or, as F.I.U.-teacher and wallbuilder Waldo Bien states it: "It is an FIU 'open' wall (no mortar), built as a place to meet and unite, not to divide. A home for all kinds of creARTures, a FIUndament above the ground (making the secrets productive)."

Construction supervision Carl Giskes. See www.fiuamsterdam.com
